Dr. Victoria Palmer
Victoria Palmer, DVM CVA graduated from Colorado State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. After working for 2 years at a large 24 hour companion animal and emergency clinic in Littleton, CO, Dr. Palmer moved to New Castle in 1990 to be able to care for the valley's small animals and fly fish, hike, S U P, swim & bike too.
She has 2 children-daughter Jocelyn and son Dustin. The first thing they learned after she was accepted to Vet. school in 1984 was how to spell "veterinarian.“
In addition to Veterinary Medicine and Neuro-anatomical Veterinary Acupuncture and Herbology, Dr. Palmer enjoys her Moluccan Cockatoo Ray, Mingus the Corgi (Linus' successor!) Bertha the Golden Retriever, Fiona the Scottish Fold, Jessup the Russian Blue, Ridley the great CARE rescue kitty, Carl and her 4 grandchildren. Dr Palmer has been with New Castle Veterinary Clinic for 22 years as a sole practitioner in companion animal medicine/ surgery/ dentistry and companion animal & equine acupuncture and herbology.
Dr Palmer became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2004 at CSU. Just recently she became a licensed Anusara Inspired yoga teacher as well as a Registered yoga teacher(RYT 200) for humans! She has been teaching yoga in New Castle for 3 years.
She is an active member of the AVMA, CVMA, VIN, New Castle Lions Club and an IACUC board member for the Veterinary Technology program at CMC.
